# Crunchbase (/integrations/crunchbase)

Use [Crunchbase](https://www.crunchbase.com/) to search and retrieve organizations, people, funding rounds, acquisitions, and related records. Stable UUIDs and permalinks identify records across lookups.

## Credentials and access \[#credentials-and-access]

Requests send your API key in `X-cb-user-key`. Crunchbase documents a limit of [200 calls per minute](https://support.crunchbase.com/hc/en-us/articles/32319290128019-Crunchbase-API-FAQ). Collections and fields depend on your API package: Firmographic, Core Financials, Advanced Financials, Insights Only, or Predictions & Insights. The integration's default field sets aim to use the narrowest package for each collection; check entitlement errors against your license.

## Search and retrieval \[#search-and-retrieval]

Organizations, people, funding rounds, and acquisitions have dedicated operations. **Search Any Collection** and **Get Any Entity** support the other configured collections, including funds, investments, IPOs, jobs, press references, layoffs, insights, and predictions. Use **Get Fields Metadata** to discover available fields before constructing filters.

**Autocomplete** resolves a name to an identifier. Search predicates filter the selected collection; pass the returned cursor to continue through results. **Get Entity Card** pages related records, such as a company's founders or an investor's portfolio, beyond the 100 items returned by an inline card request. The deleted-entity feed lets a synchronization workflow remove records deleted by Crunchbase.

## Use the block \[#usage-instructions]

Search and retrieve organizations, people, funding rounds, acquisitions, and other configured collections. Use field metadata to construct queries, page related-entity cards, autocomplete identifiers, and follow deleted records. Available collections and fields depend on your Crunchbase license.
