# Keyboard shortcuts (/keyboard-shortcuts)



`Mod` means `Cmd` on macOS and `Ctrl` on Windows and Linux. Editing shortcuts act on the focused surface. Some workspace commands also work while you are typing; an editor can keep a shortcut it owns.

## Workspace navigation [#workspace-navigation]

Keep focus outside an editable field for running, clipboard, history, layout, and Toolbar shortcuts.

| `Delete` or `Backspace` | Delete selected blocks or connections |
| `Shift` + `L` | Auto-layout the workflow |
| `Mod` + `Shift` + `F` | Fit the workflow to the view |
| `Mod` + `F` | Open workflow search and replace |
| `Mod` + `Shift` + `Enter` | Accept Sim's proposed workflow changes |
| `Mod` + `Alt` + `F` | Open Toolbar and focus its search |

## Tables [#tables]

Select a cell and keep the table focused. Navigation and selection shortcuts apply while no cell is being edited. Editing, cut, paste, clearing cells, and adding rows require the corresponding permissions; table locks can prevent changes.

| `Tab` / `Shift` + `Tab` | Move to the next / previous cell |
| `Escape` | Close table find if open; otherwise clear the selection |

| `Shift` + Arrow keys | Extend the selection by one cell |
| `Mod` + `Shift` + Arrow keys | Extend the selection to the edge |
| `Shift` + `Space` | Select the current row |
| `Mod` + `Space` | Select the current column |
| `Mod` + `A` | Select all table rows; press again to clear the selection |

### Editing [#editing]

| `Enter` or `F2` | Open the selected cell's editor; toggle a boolean cell |
| Any character | Start editing the selected cell with that character |
| `Escape` | Cancel the current edit |
| `Shift` + `Enter` | Insert a row below; open the new-row form when required fields need values |
| `Space` | Open the selected row's editor |
| `Mod` + `D` | Fill selected cells down from the top of the selection |
